Wychwood Wild Garden is a beautiful 12.5 acre Victorian woodland and garden in Shipton under Wychwood, Oxfordshire. The garden is closed. The Wychwoods – 3 villages surrounding the garden – Milton, Ascott and Shipton have the opportunity to buy the garden but they need to raise £70,000. How do we raise awareness and enthusiasm to raise the money?
A carefully planned campaign that involved all 3 villages – even in the logo! A website explained all the advantages of acquiring this area of natural beauty. A calendar became the ubiquitous stocking filler at Christmas and the money needed to purchase the garden was raised in less than a year. The logo was then pruned down and applied to signage within the garden.
The garden is now open again and is kept beautiful by a team of enthusiastic volunteers. A great asset to the 3 villages that gives great pleasure to locals and visitors.
